‘Welcome to Manchester United’: Fans react to stunning solo Jude Bellingham goal

Manchester United fans have told the club to spend whatever it takes to sign Borussia Dortmund’s teenage sensation Jude Bellingham after his sensational solo goal on Saturday afternoon.

Bellingham jinxed past three Arminia Bielefeld defenders before dinking the ball over the opposing goalkeeper to give his side a 3-0 lead.

The England midfielder has taken his game to the next level since leaving Birmingham City for the Bundesliga in 2020, the player reportedly snubbing United in the process.

Bellingham is understood to have even toured their Carrington training complex in March 2020 before opting to join Dortmund.

United did do business with the German club this summer, signing winger Jadon Sancho for £73million and there is talk United will make a move for Bellingham next season.

And his latest goal has seen supporters urge United to get a deal done, tipping him to win the Ballon d’Or over the next few years.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that he was disappointed the club didn’t sign a central midfielder in the summer, having been rumoured to sign West Ham’s Declan Rice and Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips.rumoured to sign West Ham’s Declan Rice and Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips.

Jadon Sancho’s Man Utd situation “hurts my soul” declares Borussia Dortmund boss

Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachin Watzke has bemoaned Jadon Sancho’s struggles at Manchester United, claiming it is hurting his soul.

Snacho left the Bundesliga giants during the summer window, joining the Red Devils in a transfer worth £73million.

But the winger has struggled during his first month at Old Trafford, dropping out of the starting lineup against West Ham before being an unused substitute against Aston Villa.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to keep Sancho on the bench against Villa, despite his side struggling to create chances.

That decision backfired with the visitors scoring a late winner, before Bruno Fernandes skied an injury-time penalty.

And speaking about the former Dortmund star, Watzke slammed United bosses for his lack of opportunities at the start of the season.

“I love Jadon. When you see him playing you get tears in your eyes,” he told SPORT1. “It hurts my soul that he is given so little consideration. I think his problem is that he’s not set in the English national team.”

Solskjaer recently suggested that the arrival of players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane could ease the pressure on his big summer signing.

“I think you’re right, both with Raphael Varane and Cristiano coming in, that takes a little bit of pressure off a young man,” Solskjaer explained.

“He’s 21, he’s learning the game, he’s learning how we train, he’s learning how we play, he’s learning the Premier League, but he’s come in hungry to learn.

“We knew his talent, and we signed him with the thought that we are going to have a top forward here for the next 10 or 12 years.

“Jadon’s finding his feet, it’s unfortunate that he fell ill just when he was going to come in, so he was out, and he lost a bit of pre-season. But he is working hard and he will be good.”
Sancho is yet to score or register an assist for his new club, but could be handed another chance when United take on Villarreal in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The pressure will be on Solskjaer to get a result having overseen three defeats from their last four games in all competitions.

Young Boys handed United a humbling defeat in their European opener, before they exited the Carabao Cup at the hands of West Ham, before then losing to Villa.
